Elim Evesham Pentecostal Church is a welcoming, friendly church and part of the Foursquare Gospel Alliance. We meet on Sundays and during the week at St Andrew’s Hall, Mayfair, on the Fairfield Estate.

Pastor Stephen Mizzi and his wife Kay have a passion to share the love of Jesus with those they meet. They have lived in Evesham for over 10 years and have led the church since that time.

We are a praying church and quarterly we have our 'Week of Prayer' where we meet to pray to seek the Lord's guidance for the year ahead and during the year we have subsequent specific times where we meet to pray. This week together usually has a theme.

We are also passionate about Israel and have both online and in person prayer meetings each month.

Our church is made up of people from all walks of life and from many different nations. We really hope that you will feel at home. Our Sunday mornings begin with a warm welcome and an invitation to join in celebrating the Good News about Jesus. Our worship is lively with a mix of traditional hymns and more contemporary songs as we seek to lift up His name together. We expect God to meet with us and speak to us.

We are sociable! We love to meet to share food, fun and fellowship. We have barbecues during the summer, ladies and men’s breakfasts every month, plus our ‘Open House’ every Friday afternoon at the church for those who are free during the day. There really is something for everyone!

Planning your Visit

Welcome

The following information is specifically for those planning a visit so that you know beforehand what to expect on a Sunday morning.

Where and When

We meet at the church building (details here) for our Sunday Service starting at 10:30am. When you arrive, you should be greeted by one of our friendly church members.

We serve free tea, coffee and biscuits after the service. It is a great way to meet people.

Accessibility: There is wheelchair access. There are disabled toilets in the entrance foyer.

Our Service

The main service begins at 10:30am with a warm welcome from the Pastor followed by a short prayer. Then follows a time of sung worship, led by our band. Sometimes a person might pray out loud or read a small passage from the Bible. Sometimes people share things that they believe God is saying to the whole church family. This might seem strange the first time you hear it but it’s all part of our connecting with God.

Our Pastor, or one of our leaders, will then give a sermon that is Bible based and that we can apply to our everyday life. We then share news and notices, usually about what’s going on in the life of the church. We then finish with a final worship song. Sometimes there is an opportunity to receive prayer at the end of the service.

Getting Connected

Home Groups

While Sundays are a great way to meet new people, it is often in smaller gatherings that you can really get to know someone. Being part of one of our Home Groups allows you to make new friends, share together and support each other. We have evening groups that meet during the week. Check out our Home Groups and see if there’s one that you could join, or we can put you in touch with a Home Group leader who will be more than happy to invite you along to their group.

Serving and Volunteering

If you want to get involved in the life of the church and help us make Sundays run smoothly, you can sign up to serve on a team. We have rotas to serve refreshments after the service, and church set-up.
